About Grace Hsu, MD, FASA
Dr. Hsu earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2009 and completed anesthesiology residency training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2013. She went on to complete fellowship training in pediatric anesthesiology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where she joined the faculty as an attending anesthesiologist and as a member of the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
In 2020, Dr. Hsu joined Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where she served as Medical Director of Quality and Performance Improvement for the Division of Anesthesiology, leading initiatives in patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical operations. She returned to CHOP in 2025.
Dr. Hsu has specialized expertise in patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical operations, and has completed the Advanced Training Program in Healthcare Delivery through the Intermountain Healthcare Delivery Institute, as well as Global Health Delivery training at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
She is passionate about clinical care as a pediatric anesthesiologist, with expertise in pediatric difficult airway management. Her academic and leadership efforts are focused on strengthening care systems to improve the safety, reliability, and quality of care for children and families.
